I have just bought a new mk4 golf gttdi 130, I had it factor lowered by 26mm. I would like to know what the largest wheel size that I could fit on as I don?t like the standard alloys. Any help would be much appreciated. Also if i do buy some new ones does anybody want the old standards?
Thanks

18's fit on a mk4 very nicely without arch mods :)

with that strange drop of 26mm i would say you could even get 19's on with out any arch mods, ive only got 17's on mine and a 40 mm drop, wouldnt mind going bigger but tyre cost etc has kept me to 17's and i got em cheap!

Thanks for your input. I had the sports pack without the Montreal II wheels; I was told this entailed stiffer suspension and a 26mm drop. Whether this is correct or not I am not too sure...sort of getting my ruler out and measuring it.
Also where is the best place to buy alloys, i still havent found a decent price for a set.

loads of places to get wheels from, alot of firms on the links page will be able to help, id also check ebay as sometimes theres some cracking deals on new and used alloys!, oh yeah bit of advice, if buying 2nd hand, get seller to take them to tyre fit place and get em on the balancer, not run balancing but you can give em a good spin to see if buckled etc!
