Title: cheap diesel tuning on ebay does it work? and will it cause any damage?
Post by: arnoldlog1 on 22 December 2005, 09:12
i've noticed this tuning chip on ebay for the diesel pd engine(hope the link works!)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TDI-Diesel-Tuning-MOD-Chip-PD-VW-AUDI-SEAT-SKODA-FORD_W0QQitemZ8024355591QQcategoryZ32094QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
http://

has anyone tried this? how does it work? will it damage my engine? it seems to cheap to be true.

i do fancy tuning my gt tdi 130, and this looks like a cheap solution, but as i understand it it tells the engine management that the diesel is hotter than it is so it runs richer, but surely this will damage my engine??

any help guys?? :santa:

i'm based near derby, but it sounds to good to be true, all the tuning mods i've seen in the golf mags are round about £500, i'm sure somone will know something about them and how they work. :undecided:

I installed one for about 6 months to my PD GTI 150 and to be honest there was no real difference in performance. I think you need to save up and speak to REVO.
