Title: G60 brakes

hiya all how hard is it to fit G60 brakes to a 8v gti 1991 it don't stop quite as quick as i would like

piece of doo doo assuming you have all the right parts, you'll need hubs, carriers, calipers, discs, pads and thats pretty much it.

oh and a 22mm master cylinder....

I wouldn't bother, thats a lot of work. Make sure your standard setup is working correctly.

i would, they are a hell of a lot better than 16v brakes, which are better than 8v brakes :drool:

I'd do it too! (infact I did lol) The G60 brakes are very good compared to the others (lockups at 60mph :D). It's fairly simple to do too. Just remove the old parts and replace with the G60 items.

Can tell from your pic if you've got 15's or bigger cos you'll need them to clear the calipers.

or you can get away with using spacers to relocate your calipers and then just put 280 mm disks on and your away,

i've 15" wheels on  how does this spacer thing work can i use my standard calipers and where do i get the spacers from

would i need or that stuff for a 90 spec 16v?
