Title: How do you hotwire the fuel pump?
Post by: Deefadog on 21 December 2005, 14:30
Going to be testing my injectors next week, and i need to hot wire the fuel pump so it on all the time with ignition on so i can raise the metering head to squirt the fuel!

I assume you do this on the relay, with a spade heads connected up, but which slots do i have to use?

Cheers

use a standard X contact relay instead of the standard pump one. that'll come on when the ignition is on and stay prime'ing

Im sure if you remove the relay and bridge 2 of the contacts the pump will run. However i dont know which 2. Time to get y multimeter out and see whats what. Or if your one of the few people that can read wiring diagrams then have a look.

I have had alook at the diagrams, i have no idea LoL

Yes two bridged should work, but which two? i'll blow something up knowing my luck!

If i use a multimeter, i can obviously find the ignition live coming in, but how do i find the contetction to the fuel pump? continuity test or something?
