Title: xenon lights making enemies
Post by: gg on 20 December 2005, 14:59

Went for the xenon lights option on new gti. They light up the road like an aircraft landing even in dip! Sounds great but i am getting constantly flashed by oncoming traffic to dim them. its gotten so bad i am diving around urban any city streets with side and fogs! Anyone got similar deal or perhaps everyone i meet just wants to flash a great car!!!

Bi Xenons need correctly alligning. The dealer should have done this before delviery but may not have done so worth getting checked out.

There does seem to be alot of GTIs out there with the xenon  lights setup incorrect.
The factory does not seem to set them up correct and so the dealers do it as you all know not all dealers are the same so alot come out with the lights setup wrong.
I have been blinded many times by Golfs with there xenons set incorrect.
A mate of mine has had his reset by the dealer and seems to have little problems with people now flashing there lights at him. There still very bright so a few still flash but not like they use to. You use to get blinded all the time as people took revenge.

My GTi headlights were wrong from day one.

Now that they're correctly adjusted, I'm not flashed at all!
