Title: Respray costs

Just throwing this question out there, What would be a ballpark figure for the cost of a complete respray of a mk3 polo coupe, and also in a seperate coincidence a mk3 golf? I know it'll differ alot between companys but up north (not daan saaf :P) what would be a round about guestimate? :)

proper job between £1k-£2k depending on condition....the quote for what i wanted doing to mine was £2.5k!! :shocked:

you can get a drive in drive out for that money or if you 'know' someone but for a 'proper' job.......

i paid 1k,knew the guy..took it back wen i wasn happy..but then again..my car wasnt sh!te.. :rolleyes: id never be quoted 2.5k..

lol funny you should bring this subject up,i work in that trade,asked the painter at work today,he said £60 and i supply the paint,or if i ask my manger nicely i get to use our paint, which is either Ici, Standox or autowave, the VW Body Shops use Du-pont though, but id say anything between £400-1K depends weather you want bareshell respray or just the outside,

ha ha smart arse!! i did want a whole load of smoothing, welding, arch rolling etc its all in the prep work that takes the time, which costs money....

yea that is what costs the money,the preping takes ages!! lol, the bodyshop i work in doesnt do any modification work or rust or anything like that, just crash damage!! Hows you doing then jo??  :grin:

costs more for colour change aswell does'nt it?

I want bare metal respray different colour
aint decided what yet but I know it wont be cheap
