Like i say im new to the forum and to VW's and Golfs in general...hope i like this ride!! :laugh:
ME.....
My name is Sam, I'm from Lincoln, i'm 20 and have 2 jobs lol GREEDY :grin:
Work in a Factory durin the week (proper job) and @ MW in Lincoln on saturdays. How i pay for everything lol
My last quick car was a Cav Gsi...so i hope that the Dub i bought can compete with that!! :cry:
ME CAR....
It's an 86 Golf Gti. It's had the 1.9 lightened and balanced TSR bottom end conversion, with a stage one head. Also has a Scorpion single squared oval upswept exaust. He's down 40 on G-max springs running 15 inch Enzo Cup wheels with 195 - 50 tyres, big bumpers also fitted.
When i bought it it had Jetta lights and grill, but recently changed it for crystal single rounds and a badgeless jobbie (god bless GSF). Also just fitted crystal front indicators and side markers, plus crystal M3 stlye rear lights, all with oily indicator bulbs.
About a week after buyin it i had to replace a coolant hose...understand i will have to get used to this lol also blew the rad after a heavy night and some B-road bedlam (thank god once again to GSF as they delivered one to me same day....one of the guys knows me now and i get free delivery to my door :wink:)
FUTURE MODS........
Being given a Kamei (sp) eyebrow spoiler so will have to fit and spray it when i eventually get it.
Got some 20mil spacers to go on, just waiting for MW to get delivery of the extended bolts and locking wheel bolts so i can fit them.
Thinkin about puttin 195 - 40s on too, should help with handling.
It is currently running old school small window doors, and so i think a logical step to match the big bumpers is to go for the big windowed doors, just gotta find some that are in good nick.
Also would really like to change the exhaust for a twin round but dunno about that for now.
Anyway here is a picture of wot it currently looks like.......although i have just fitted some new number plates........which will do till i can be bothered to get some German style ones from Dubmeister lol

Sam, have you ever been down the strip at pod?? Bit of a long shot, but i raced against a car the exact same as yours only just beat it aswell, bloody rapid for a 8v. :smiley: :smiley:

Nah never been down the pod and i doubt it would have been down there lookin like that as i did the front end just after buyin it lol It is a bit nippy tho :cool:
Bit of an update just wired in me stereo and bits. Took f**kin ages.....had to basically wire up a whole new harness for it as the old one was f**ked lol :sad:
Worth it in the end tho. :smug:
Got an Alpine 9813R Head, 1000w RMS Sony Monoblock Amp, and a 12ince JBL Sub (used to be running 2xVibe CBR 12s but decided to sell them until i can afford the 12" Alpine Type X Sub that is in the store room @ work :grin:)
