Title: Another mk2 lowering suspension questions?
Post by: gc350 on 08 December 2005, 15:33
Hi,  I have the standard P-slots (14") fitted with 185/60/14 tyres. Can i go 60mm lower, and still use the standard shocks, without ruining the ride, and rubbing my arches.

Or can i only go to 40mm lower.

I must stress that i am in no way prepared to do any arch work at all. And it must be on standard shocks.

Its a C-reg 8v Gti

Thanks in advance

I wouldnt personally go any lower than 40mm on standard shocks, the ride would be awful and they would be leaking within a couple of months
