Title: Dubsport, anyone been to them??
Post by: MK4_20VT on 07 December 2005, 14:20
My MK2 GTI is still with Dubsport, I was told it will take 4 days to swap the bottom end of my motor to a 2L & get the head re-done.

So with adding PAS aswell, I thought 7 days & i'll have it back.

Over 2 weeks later & I still don't have my motor gggrrrrrr!!!!!

I have had NO calls to tell me of any delays, only when I phone I find out what is going on!!

Most Pi$$ing thing is that if I don't see it by Thursday (Friday mabye) I won't be around to collect till prob just after Xmas

I though Dubsport were mean't to be Spot on,  I'm wishing I'd never put it in for a upgrade now

Designa Dubs took 3 months to do my engine conversion - twice.

It's something I've come to get use to now. :(

Dubsport, my mate took his mark 1 to them the get a digifant wired up. they qoted him 200 quid at first, they had it for about 3 weeks and did a bodge job, never seen so much electrical tape in one fuebox! It works and everything, works fine. Just dnt think customer service is their stong point.

They also tried to charge them about 600 quid in the end, so my mates dad kicked off a bit and they settled on a price, i forget how much now but it was more than originally quoted (so watch out for that) and they even took down his name and address so if any damage happens to any of their cars and property they knew were to go.

I got some bumpers from them, they're such a sh!t fit i've never even managed to fit them     when i called the knob he was rude and abusive and basically tried to make out that the car must have been in an accident  after many phone calls i ended up telling the bloke to go f**k and that i'll be looking him up if i'm ever in the area

They are just aload of chavs i think that know feck all.

My mate has a mars red mark 1, the emphasis in red
when he went to go and collect his car he said "i am here to get my car, the mark 1 with the digifant2
and the guy replied with "oh the orange one?"

if you know anything about golfs u know that that colour is not orange!

The have offered to drop the car off at my house, as it has taken so long to complete.

I'd already had a quote for the work been done, so i'm going to make sure it doesn't change

I miss my Dub, got my dad's 2002 Turbo BMW for today & it's a bit thirsty, oh tail happy as well

a lot of companies seem to put out good work for shows and get in the mags, but when it comes to actually working on our cars they don't seem to care :(

it's a shame.

I found out it was taking so long due to guys being off sick, sadly you can't help stuff like that  :undecided:

As long as they do a great job on it & I get it soon i'll be happy
