Being from Northern Ireland I've never got used to letters for years in the reg.
What year is a G-reg?
-
01 August 1989 to 31 July 1990 - G reg
It started 01 August 1983 with the A plate and went on like that until about 1997 when they started changing it every six months to finish of the alphabet.
In March 2001 the prefix style changed to XX 01 XXX (X being various letters) and it changes every six months, september having the XX 51 XXX. Then in March 2002 it was XX 02 XXX etc.

I belive G is 1989
-
Does that make a g-reg golf a 1990spec golf or a 1989 spec golf?
-

my neighbours is also a G-reg 90 spec..i will have to ask him if it's an 89 or 90.. :undecided:

My G reg valver was registered in march 1990 according to the V5
-
