Passed 95000 miles today! not bad of an "F" what sort of mileage has every one else got?

Minty 'M' reg ('95) Mk3 16V on 113,000. With TLC, roll on another 100,000!!

.......these golfs are so well bolted together. It still surprises me when I get into other make of cars of similar age that have deteriorated so badly.

75.5k on my '97 R Plate mk3 16 valver... dead solid :)

I've put every mile above 75000 on the car (well it was on 75003 when i took it on its test drive 3 weeks ago)

Vw Golfs are unique marques! Breeds apart, they're Ageless, Beautiful, Durable....etc. I just love them!

I had a MK11 Golf CL for 5yrs. Had 94k geniune miles on the clock when I bought it. 2k short of 160k. Engine sound and ride is superb!

Now own a GTI 140k on the clock and having great fun driving it. Sound of the engine is a music to my ears. Thank God for VW Golfs.

My mk1 GTI has 105 thousand, my mk3 CL has 133 thousand and my mk4 GTTDI 130 has 19 miles on it (picked it up this lunch time). I also have Peugeot 405 Mi16 with 55 thousand (please don?t shout at me for the last one though)

To be honest I dont think that high mileages are all that rare nowadays. Cars for many years have been so much better and reliable as long term assets.

mine has 177000 but bottom end gave up on it, new one has 111000 and is running sweet, both on 89 g plate
