Hi, please bear with me on this one.
I have got a new battery to go on my Mk2 Golf Gti 8v (1985)
It is as follows:- Exide W065SE. 50A/Hr 495 CCA
The exide website also shows (for the same car) a W065TE which is 55A/Hr 600 CCA
I have just looked at the one in my car and its spec is 55A/Hr 480 CCA
Will the new battery (Exide W065SE. 50A/Hr 495 CCA) be good enough, and strong enough?
I dont even know what one should be in there (don't have a manual or nout).

If it cranks the engine it should do

I had the wrong battery on my golf for ages  it worked. Thafe.

CCA means Cold Cranking Amps. The higher the rating the stronger the battery you could say. Should be fine with y new one if not a little better.
