Class looking car and imo a mk2 is one of the only cars to look cool in 2 door and 4 door

I had an '88 pearl grey Gti and it didnt look like it needed washing for weeks on end!!! Until you brushed against it

-

*consider that a warning - cos you got little post count and don't reaslise who u may be offending*
-
han hun, he wasnt having a go, he now owns my old driver, he is a mate of mine, sorry for any offence caused to any one, it was a dig at me as i wrote my car off a few weeks ago n that one is still running
-
I to had a driver, served me well!:
-
i think drivers are a great car, my first three were while i waited for insurance to drop
-
-
so han u forgiven my mate yet?? lol
-
nothing to be forgiven?
-
ok im leaving it there, anyway back to original post, any more comments abt my car anyone??
-
5 doors are cool ! Stiffer body shell ! !
-
seriously is that true?
-
Yep, rear door apertures stiffen the rear of the shell.
-
yeah but 3 doors are cooler :P
-
mm yeah 3 doors look better, but I can't look at the outside of my car when I am driving!
-
^^ true but i also don't have to have people in the back of mine either!! plus you want people to look at your car while your driving, eh? :P :)

Tbh, no. I bought the car for me to drive. period. I bought a 5 door because it was close to me, and the shell is in very good condition, thanks all.
-
Tbh, no. I bought the car for me to drive. period.
cool, i bought mine for me to drive not take people in so i bought a 3 door! i'm only messin anyway....
-
ok back to my car any ideas guys??
lol
-
ideas for what? :P
-
Eh ?
-
wot mods to do to it etc etc
-
 boys....
-
ok,ok. Drop it on Eibach's, 2 litre bottom end, and a brake upgrade. oem+ !
-
nah dont wanna do any engine work yet as its running sweet as a nut, plus i want more than a 2l when i do it
how low can i go before arch work is needed??
-
just drop it as much as u dare and deal with the arches later! probably get 40-60 mm without rubbing dependin on wheels and tyres but youl only find u wish ud have gone lower and it'l cost more in the long run.
-
i dropped my driver 80 mm with out any problems but my wheels/tyres were only 185 55 14's:ÂÂÂ
(http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d181/Neaty/80mm.jpg)
-
my old driver which homer now has, had a 40mm drop on it but rubbed like a bi@ch with 195-50-15s on it, so when i got the last gti i put them on there and same problem.do u think the offset of the after market alloys was wrong??
they did come from chavfords
-
definately an offset thing. my 8" bbs rub less than my 7" azev's due to the azevs being et15 and thats with a 110mm drop so you must have a tiny offset to rub on 40mm or drive around with a fat bastard in the boot!
-
Yeah 60MM drop on 195/50/15 no problem with et35/38
-
my alloys on this new one are the standard bbs ones so i should be ok to drop it??there 15s on mine
-

wish i could say the same, if dust looks at mine it looks like i have been rallying! lol
-
lol, rallying sounds good but maybe not in my car lol
give me someone else motor and il race all day long
-
oh well no racing for me ive had the car three weeks and blown the head gasket grrr getting really pi55ed off with vws now
