Title: What does a Mk1 GTi weigh?

As above.  Just wondered, so I can work out the power to weight ratio.

According to a reliable source they weigh 820 kg so that should give you 134 bhp per ton (i think)

Result.  That's less than I thought.  It won't have much in it anyway other than 2 seats, so could dip under the 800kg mark, which would be nice.  :cool:

if you are gonna strip it out then it will pron weigh less than that even!
