Hi there peeps another simple one , there is a plate the goes between the bellhousing and the block with a hole cut out of it for the crank to connect to the flywheel / clutch. In the Haynes manual its described as a engine plate or intermediate plate; i assume it's there as some sort of weather guard for the lower part of the gear box / clutch assembly.
Is it needed as my new engine hasn't got one?
And does anyoneknow where i can get one before the weekend?

r u on abt at the bottom of the gear box, kinda between the gear box n sump??
if so there should be a plate there its a thin metal plate thats like a half circle held in place by 4 10mm bolts if i remember right, i think its to stop all the crap getting in there, mine hasnt got one and has been driven for three months like it, although i would recomend getting one
