Post by: harr1s on 08 June 2003, 19:39
i know that you can fit certain porsche wheels on golfs with the aid of hub addaptors but can i fit a set that are 16x8 on the front and 16x9 on the rear with out any mods to the arches or rubbing of the sring set up . the car is on standard gti springs but im going to lower it by 40mm

   Please help many thanks.

      Cheers   Harr1s....

me thinks they are going to rub. 9by16's plus the 20mm or so that the hub adapter will add equals tyre scrubbage!

i reckon you will need the arches rolling.

I think some tasty porsche stoppers would complement the wheels perfectly  :P
