as you are all aware we are goona have cold winter and i'm trying to be prepared this year as 2 years ago a broke my cylinder head because of not using any anti freeze (stupid i know)
anyway my question is what kind of anit freeze do vw dealers put in the mk4 as i bought some but its blue and the one in my car is pink and ive been told not to mix them

i need some of this, may stop the bollox from freezing....
-
does it not say in the owners manual or try phoning VW, can't see why they would not tell you.
-
stick with the pink stuff. its not expensive from vw and is the right stuff.
-
where can i get the pink stuff from and any ideas whats its called
-
you get it from vw thenmselves, its called something daft like q4 or something but just go to the parts desk and ask for "pink anti-freeze" they'll know what your on about, its normally on a shelf behind the parts desk anyway!

It's called G12+ they did G12 which I think was purple and now G12+ which is pink and will mix with all other types of antifreeze. Local VAG dealer or ECP or GSF do it.
