 Eighties Excess at its worst !!!!
-
I'd give him £50 for it, just for the chrome window seals!!!!!!!
-
that 1.3 must be extra slow with that big ass kit
-
Im probably goin to get shot for this, and dont get me wrong, i love the mk1 most in its truest form as it was intended...
...but take that spoiler off and it might not look that bad IMO Im not saying i would have it or that I like it tho!
-
i quite like it! i love the phat look! needs slamming more and i think it needs a new front grill! oh and a 20v turbo lump!
-
I thought you meant spoilt as in its had an easy life with a heated garage
I'm with Golf pro its not that bad, think the front bumper with lights crammed in spoils it ... maybe with chrome bumpers and ..
Thought i'd only ever see that stlye in the body kit mags/brochures like  "Carnoissuer"
-
Igenerally hate excessively modded mk1's & mk2's, but I agree with Golfpro too, lose that rear spoiler and it's kinda like a mk1 Rallye!

-
i like it :embarassed:
-
yay people agree with me and iv not been shot down..... yet! :lipsrsealed:
-
That f**king rocks  tbh
-
A bit over the top IMO , but I reckon we've all seen a lot worse things than that done to a Mk1 .
I'm not a great fan of huge body kits to be honest :undecided:.
I believe some company made a very similar kit for the Mk2, which suited it a bit better but didn't look as cluttered.
The Rieger kit for Scirocco's was also popular back in the day .
-
i actually quite like it , jus that spoiler is horrid , but everyone to their own taste. an a similar kit for a mk2 is in excess of 2 grand , dunno how much the mk1 kit is but would think it'd be bout same
-
At least it's only a 1300 that's been butchered. It was a GTI/Campaign then that would irritate me more.
Apart from from the rear spoiler and 18 million lights in the front bumper, it's passable.
Still wouldn't drive it...
-
Its ok, I give him credit for tryin somethin different, altho he says he spent 9grand..
285/40/15 rear wheels on a mk1
the front bumper does look a little odd like a squashed raddo bumper
-
Looks like corrado bumper and those lights don't match the round headlights or the chrome surround on grill.
-
think its great, love the wheels, definately a head turner
-
Didn't know that golf was still in the area . I don't know who owns it now, but the bloke who put the kit on it used to come in to the VW dealership were I worked in Lewes and he spent a small fortune ordering allsorts of trims etc and that was a getting on for 9-10 years ago .
We all thought that it was a bit of a waste especially only being a 1300 .although I think he was planning on fitting at least a GTI lump in it .
(but at least our parts manager was happy £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£ )
It also may look a bit better if it was lowered IMO
-
That f**king rocks  tbh
wot?!
totally ott in my opinion...and its like hes tryin to combine the "new" look of the kit with the old style grille/small wide wheels...two dif looks sorta joined together... *vomit smilie*
canny mileage on it thou..
Dinx
-
Kinda like my school report.
"Has potential. Does not use it!"
Not my style but kinda agree with golfpro. A bit less ott and could be an interesting car.
-
i like it :embarassed:
me 2, lose the spoiler, but other wise its like a mark 1 rallye!
-
cracking bit of dub history!
mostly it so badly doesn't work - that front bumper and square lights are all wrong against the standard grille but this is over 9 years old remember.
classic  :nerd:
-
just seen what he has said about jis reserve price - £2750!!!!!
bugger off! Il be amazed if anyone pays that for it! after its an oooooooold car with an excessive kit that needs more money spendin on it to tone it down and remove some lights....with a 1.3 litre engine!
COME OFF IT!
-
Being a true lover of Mk1's and considering good ones are getting a bit scarce now i was going to suggest a public execution - then i noticed its not a GTi - scrap it
Low milegae though
-
i LOVE IT!! but it does need lowering some more and that rear spoiler has to go!
(http://i19.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/7b/1a/d4_1_b.JPG)
-
it looks like it belongs in a kids toybox
-
for less money id buy it, drop it lots, smooth over all the square lights and holes, remove the spoiler and put it on my drive way! if done nicely could look fantastic, think theres just a few bits that spoil it.
-
Over priced and over 'dressed'. Don't think he will get what he wants for it.
-
We should at least give him credit for keeping it out of sight for 9 years :embarassed:
-
Do you think he is on this forum?

Now that's a thought................................." will the owner of the sheep in wolves clothing put their hand up ?"............No need to be shy..........      :grin:ÂÂÂ
-
I kind of like it. Rear spolier needs to go, change front and rear valence. SLAM it right down.
debadged single grill.
Gotta love the wheels tho.
-
a bit over the top yeah but at the end of the day its a reiger kit, properly fitted and very much in the style of the time. to the right person its worth it, just a bit dated now....... did no-one see the reiger kitted scirrocco in the golf+magazine a few months back?

I like it except for that naff spoiler! Love those wheels, would look great on my Mi 16!!! (nearly bought a set of them for it!)
-

-
