Hey all, got a problem with my rear lights. After i've been driving and park the car the rear lights remain on even if the light are off. If i press the brake pedal a few times they turn off. Even if the car is parked and i press the brake, the brake lights come on and when i take my foot off they dim (to the normal tail light brightness) and stay on, i then have to press the pedal a few times to get them to go off - its like a relay is sticking or something. Any ideas?
cheers

I'm no sparky but it sounds like some sort of shorting out going on to me. :undecided:
Can a relay stick ? I'm not sure. :undecided:
Ah, hang on a minute, just a thought, my brake lights on my cabby will work without the key in the ignition, obviously me pressing the pedal, so, there should be some sort of plug by your brake light that makes a connection when you press the middle pedal and your lights come on, that might be your problem so have a look at that first. :undecided:

Theres a switch on your master cylinder that makes the brake lights come on when :nerd: you might want to check your fluid levels first as i found my lights played up when mine was low once
The brake lights do come on when the ignition is off, you probably alrerady know that its the same bulb for your brakes & rear lights - therefore they're on the same circuit as the parking lights which have to work with the ignition off :nerd:
