iVE PUT ELECTRIC WINDOWS AND REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING ON MY MK2'S
THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS ARE EASY ENOUGH IF YOU ARE USING A KIT.I GOT A GOOD ONE FROM DEMON TWEEKS-IT HAS ALL THE INFO ON HOW TO FIT .
THE CENTRAL LOCKING KITS ARE QUITE CHEAP,I GOT AN EXELLENT ONE FROM VOLKSBITS,THE REMOTE IS GREAT-YOU CAN OPEN YOUR DOORS FROM A LONG WAY.THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THAT THE 'ACUATORS' HAVE TO BE POSITIONED IN THE EXACT PLACE ON THE DOOR SKIN FOR THEM TO WORK PROPERLY SO IT TAKES A LOT OF 'SUSSING' TO GET THEM RIGHT BEFORE YOU GET THE DRILL OUT!!!!
WORTH IT IN THE END- GOOD LUCK ;D

i was gonna just take it all out of my old car with the blown engine

What type of central locking did you have-pnuematic or elecrtic??

I've got the Volksbits central locking too. Easy to install. mine are screwed to the sides of the door then the bars bent to work off them. the original remote works from miles away, but looks pants tbh. I've now got it rigged up to my alarm so the range isn't as lethal, but still good. about 10 meters.
I got some eleccy window motors in some doors I bought and then bought the loom off ebay for ?25.

The remote 'fob' looks like a small mobile phone with its aerial.Come to think of it a big mobile!!!
I like to think of it as 'RETRO'-LOL ::)
DOES THE JOB THOUGH
