Hello folks, WICKED site u got going here, very very impressed!
Found you from a mate "Horney" who i know from the mini scene!
Well ive just got my 1st VW which i picked up yesterday after selling the Escort RS2000 earlier in the morning.
Its a White F reg Caddy which plan to keep very very tidy, its not been much of work horse over its life so its very tidy, its had a big plastic van sort of cover on hte back for 8 years so the bed is in great condition with very little rust!
It came with 12mts mot and 6 tax, perrelli alloys with brand new rubber on them and a small box of odds and sods!
If any one has any good surgestions to what can be done to these car please let me know! im new to Dubs and havnt really paid any attention to the parts available!
I want to deck it asap so any info on how would rock!
I do have a small list of parts id like already so ill post them up in the Wanted section if i can find it!!

plenty of knowledgable people on the site so i'm sure you'll find answers to your questions quickly
enjoy mate and congrats on ditching the blue oval

Arrow.
G6dub on here has a caddy, and they have 20vt'd it. So i would think they are the people to get in touch with if you need any massive tuning advice from them. Other than that, mk1 section is your place to be.
-
Nice one, ill look out 4 him!!
Blue ovals aint that bad, shame there bolted onto fords!!
-
Hey mate, welcome to the forum
-
hi mate welcome to the forum. recently i've been thinking about how much i want a caddy but haven't got anywhere to store it. they're soo easy to make look good!!
-
tell me about it, ive only got wheels on it and it looks rather funkey!
Looks better with my bike in th eback to!
-
all you need to do now is drop the front using mk1 golf shox and flip the rear axle over to lower the back. i think you can buy a kit to do it but its meant to be easy enough with whats already there.
-
fantastic i love caddys.. my lil brother has his eye on my grandads... one day i'll have a family of VW's!
Welcome to the mad house!
-
Warm welcom there han, thanx
What do u mean by "flip2 the rear axle? cant just turn it upside down can u? dont u mean springs?
-
no i mean the axle. in stead of sitting under the springs it sits above them. i'll dig out the article about how to do it if i can find it. they did a write up in a golf+ magazine a few years back.
-
Yes you just flip the rear axle over and bolt it back on top of the leaf springs as opposed to underneath!
(d'oh beaten to it)
oh well welcome anyway flippy
