Just purchased a replacment VDO Dash with MFA as the Motortech one gave up the ghost some time ago. I have been told that the new dash is working, but I just need to replace the backlight bulbs on it. How do I do this? Thanks in advanve for your advice.

Thanks for the link. I still cannot see where the bulbs go into the dash  . Has anybody got a photo of where the bulbs unscrew?

Haven't got a pic but you should see some little squareish black plastic stubs sticking out of the rear of the instrument panel. These are the bulbholders, you simply twist them through 90 degress and they will come out.

Theres a blue film/circuit board on the back, does that have to be removed? Lots of resisters connected as well

no leave the film well alone, on top there are the two black bulb holders and one behind the little digital display.

Think, I have worked it out. Whoever sold me the dash on ebay has removed all of the bulbs, so there are only holes in dash (great stuff!). Lets just hope the rest of it works? fingers crossed.
