does any one know where this is on the car below? 1.8 gti k-jet
-
On the top of the fuel distributor, theres a tube poking out the top (it may have a cap on it ) its usually a 4mm allen key (a long one) I've read about some specialist tool thingy, but all of mine have had the allen key
-
would this make the car idle better? :undecided:
-
That will adjust your CO so ideally you need an exhaust gas analyser to set it up properly. If its out in the first place, then it will effect your idle. What ever you do, don't rev the engine whilst the allan key is still in there............you'll be looking at a new metering unit otherwise
There is a special tool but all it is, is a 'T' bar allan key, so if you have a long enough allan key, that will suffice. I thought it was 3mm but I may be wrong..............

- that would explain why i've never needed that special tool thingy  - Definately 4mm, i use it for the bottle cage on my mountain bike  could it be M3??? (i never can work out those M numbers :undecided:)
