does any one know where this is on the car below? 1.8 gti k-jet

On the top of the fuel distributor, theres a tube poking out the top (it may have a cap on it :smiley:) its usually a 4mm allen key (a long one) I've read about some specialist tool thingy, but all of mine have had the allen key :kiss:

That will adjust your CO so ideally you need an exhaust gas analyser to set it up properly. If its out in the first place, then it will effect your idle. What ever you do, don't rev the engine whilst the allan key is still in there............you'll be looking at a new metering unit otherwise :wink:

There is a special tool but all it is, is a 'T' bar allan key, so if you have a long enough allan key, that will suffice. I thought it was 3mm but I may be wrong..............

 Someone left the key in mine  :cry: luckily i had a spare one but it took ages to diagnose  :angry:
