Post by: djhectic on 06 November 2005, 11:02
my mate done mine a while ago, both my mk2's and my mk3 have needed them done, just a bit of info realy.before you place them in the seats do you put them in a small bucket of oil and try and fill them with oil or do you put them in dry(with a little oil to lube them)then let the engine pressure fill them up????i'm not a mechanic, just curious

New tappets come filled with oil, however best to leave in a bucket of oil when stripping engine down to fit the new tappets.
