Title: Starting problems away from home!!

Hi.

I have just got back from hols and the car isnt starting or running well (1992 Gti).  :sad: :sad:

At the end of the HT leads, where they connect to the distruibutor cap, there is sparking. The car runs, but idling is erratic and it doesnt like being floored.

May try replacing the HT leads and distributor cap unless anyone can offer another explanation. Any advice/tips much appreciated x

PS it went in for a service/check over last week and the distributor had to be dismantled/unseized? - dont know if this has any bearing??

Sounds like it needs timing up mate... If I were you I'd get the place who 'serviced/checked' it to look at it first...  :smiley:
