can anyone tell me a place to find exact measurements of the mk2 golf (preferably syncro/ rallye) engine bay, overall size, chasis size etc?
would be very grateful.
thanks

I've got a book that has certain measurements, weights, lengths etc on various models up to mk3, I dont think the engine bay will be one of them though. :undecided:
Is this what you want ?

mk2 16v
Track front 56in (1422mm)
Track rear 56in (1422mm)
Wheelbase 97in (2464mm)

I'm such a geek ! There's no specific dimensions for the synchro so I'm guessing that they are the same as a mk2 but will probably be slightly heavier due to the 4 wheel drive.
If you need anything else give us a shout and I'll see if it's in my bible.
