Title: Avon Park today

I decided to go to Avon Park today as the weather looks shocking for tomorrow and im glad I did as is was a great day and it stayed dry.

There were some awesome cars there including 3 jet cars, the fastest being FireForce running a mid 5 second pass @ 266mph!!!

I managed to get 4 runs in today and I didnt manage to get my launch at all, I was either dumping the cluch or spinning it up. twit! Anyhow enough of the sh*t this is what I got.

1st run - 17.02 @ 80.9mph
2nd run - 17.59 @ 79.76mph
3rd run - 17.21 @ 80.12mph
4th run - 17.08 @ 79.83mph

Bit gutted I never broke the 16 second mark but not bad I suppose from a standard 8v Gti.

Only one other golf running today which was a Mk 4 Tdi running low 17 second passes.

not bad. a short shift will cut a few more seconds off that :smiley:
