Title: cabriolet - mk 1 or 2????

I own an 'E' registered (1987) GTI Cabriolet, with the Clipper kit. However, is this classed as a MK1 or 2? It is the Mark 1 shell, but obviously the year of registration suggests that it should be a MK2. Not a big problem, but I obviously want to be in the correct section to ask my stupidly obvious technical questions!

Its a mk1 (mines a '92 below)
They never made a mk2 cab, just continued with the best looking shape ever ;D
