The starting point

Simple 1993 1.8 8v Driver. Was lowered 40mm, supersport back box. That's it!

Picked up a set of angel eyes on the way home at on they went.

further lowering

Next step, lowered 60mm on spax springs with 10mm lowering caps at the front. Also added clear indicators but thinking smoked might go better with the blue, not sure...

Sorry about the dirty wheels, was literally just after fitting

Minor body mods

Next up was a smooth grill from venom. Sprayed poorly by myself with a tin can. Will get it resprayed when I get the bumper done (see below)

Also ordered a brand new fully primed front bumper for smoothing. Has to be noted mind that this is how it's stayed for the last couple of months  :embarassed:

Wheels

By far the biggest styling change made has to be the Borbet A's. 7.5x16's with 195/45 Toyo Proxes.

Have also added german plates.

Will post another update tomorrow once I've finished the latest project!

Ok, have just finished fitting a single wiper conversion from storm - works a treat and tidies up the front end. Have set it to normal park, don't want it sat in the middle.

Pics to come - on the other pc which is dying a slow painful death at the moment!

Also won a set of Diamond Audio M361 components on ebay. This should replace the alpines up front at the moment and will be amped :D

Umm... not done much recently... picked up said speakers. Off to Lanzarote tomorrow so not much going to be done until next week. Have bid on a new sunroof assembly though, getting annoyed with being dripped on!

Not much, speakers not even fitted!

But here's a pic of the wiper for, well, to fill some space

Finally, an update!

New sunroof assembly arrived today from Mr. Hardcor3... much appreciated dude

Have started this evening my removing the headlining. All in all not a difficult task (why the haynes manual says seek professional assistance I don't know!). However, where the sunroof had been leaking there was a lot of condensation and the lining was a little damp. I've left it off to dry, so will resume tomorrow evening. For now, I'm just driving around in a car with wires dangling from where the interior light should be. Shocking!

Some good sound proofing on the roof mind ;)

Will try and do a step by step with photos of the sunroof swap. Wasn't much point in the headlining, is fairly straightforward.

well there is precisely nad all point in a how to! undo bolts, remove assembly, fit new assembly, refit bolts!

Putting the headlining back was a little fiddly but nothing that time didn't overcome.

Now I need something else to do

Lost a centre cap last night, hmph :(

Borbet importers are checking to see if they have a spare one but if not I'll have to buy a set of 4. Ah well, least I'll have some spares!

Anyway, to the point. The sharp eyed amongst you may have noticed a distinct lack of aerial on the car. It had been snapped off when I bought it but I didn't want to replace it, don't think it looks too slick poking out of the wing!

Didn't want to fit a beesting in the roof either so I went the windscreen route. Bit fiddly to fit but satisfied enough with the end result. As long as you're not expecting miracle reception they're ok.

and an earthquake shot...

more goodies arrived today in the form of smoked M3 rears. I was umming and arring about it for a while, thinking M3's might stand out a bit too much against the dark bodywork. I bit the bullet and opted for the smoked versions. I still think they're a little bit bright but seem to look ok.

Next on the list - new tailgate! Many reasons, mostly because this one has a spot of rust (!) but also because I want to remove the badge, wiper and handle for a cleaner look. I'll still keep the number plate recess though.

picked up a new tailgate, albeit in the wrong colour. Not fussed though, it's mint and would need spraying anyway!

As planned just going to remove the lock wiper and badge... might shorten the number plate recess but probably not.

Have also replaced the thermostat and gearbox oil... car now sits at the right temperature and drives loads better :D

back with more updates soon...
