Can you believe it? I had my car MOTd yesterday and it needed nothing! Not a thing! That has never happened to me before. Ever! I'm so happy I just had to share that with you.
x

I know it's only happened to me when I've had a Dub!

40 everywhere ;) ( I think )
Mine's got the MOT due on the 11th of November...
-
its 25 in town and 35 everywhere else but have you been? the roads here are all narrow and lined with walls! not ideal for speeding tbh!
plus, insurance is less coz there is such a low crime rate and the milage is so much smaller and speed limit is less!
tax is about half of what it was in england!
petrol is less than 60p a litre
i have black and silver number plates on it and they are completely legal! look awesome and reflect the light off english speed cameras so u cant read the registration and wont get done for speeding!
erm...Philip Wins!
-
I can better that!
I live on the Isle of Man and there are no MOT's and No speed limits in places.
The roads are wider and longer than Guernsey!
The down sides are weather and the most expensive petrol in Europe. Super unleaded is currently running at 100.9 LT
-
not a lot between them really then is ther. Im not overly fussed by speed since i had a pretty bad crash just over a year ago. Just want things to look nice now! oh and preferably keep me alive!

where abouts in the Isle of Man do you live mate? i lived there for 2yrs, moving back to Belfast in Apr2004
i had my old 16v over there, and then bought my current 16v from there!
i agree on all points though you missed out on the car insurance!! when i was there i was insured for £250 fully comp & i was only 25 at the time!

Which garage do you use??
-
Checkpoint garage in Harford just past Lampeter. Bit of a trek from you? I've used them a few times coz I was living up Lampeter way, just happen to be living in Aber at the mo.
My mate works there so he makes sure they dont rip me off! they are all golf fanatics there so treat golf drivers pretty well.
I would reccommend you take it there if you can be arsed!

I live in Douglas.
The place has its good points such as Cheap insurance, no were is to far, no speed cameras(as yet) and no speed limits in places(don't know for how long though. The speed debate is heavy on the agenda at the mo).
Bad points:
Weather
everything is more expensive.
and you have to get a plane or boat if you want to leave!
-
Thats not too far from Bow Street though is it? Only an extra 3 miles from aber? Not sure how far Lampeter is, 25 miles?
Where in aber are you anyway?? I'm on Bryncastell, same place as Dems nearly...
-
Ye, Lamp is only 25 miles from aber, Harford is about 10 mins from Lamp, So it's not that far really i guess. Worth it if you don't get ripped off anyway!
I'm living right in Aber at the mo. It sucks! Hate living in town. Not enough open space. I'm a country chick really!
