Title: 2.0 8v which block

Hi guys, looking to fit 2.0 bottom end into Mk 2 Golf Gti (PB engine code) which model of VW should I get engine from? and what engine code?
any help,advice or links to other sites would be greatly appreciated

I think a 2e is the one everyone fits. But I've no direct experience, only look at what they say here....!  :smiley:
