Title: 16 valve head port and polish

anyone got this done and was it cheap and a noticeable improvement?

a mate of mine done his own (though he knows what he's doing!)

that along with a fettled Warm Up Regulator and 4 branch was putting out 140bhp at the wheels.

doesnt sound much but a golf vr6 with 4 branch put out 143bhp and a std corrado 16v put out 145bhp on the same rollers on the same day.

my head has been ported and polished apparently with 4 branch s/s man and zorst and last rr session I got 149bhp from her so I think it works but as it was done before I got it I aren't too sure tbh! but it does make a difference of some sort and a head rebuild and bigger valves etc at the same time would be a good idea!!

just got a quote 450 including guides valves and vat does that seem fair??

Thats a very good price that, What company is doing it have seen some bad flow jobs in my time from people who claim do do it. I  bought my head of man who does work for badger bill so i knew it was first rate. Put some 260 or 268 cams in with it nothing over the top and 4branch (must), should be good for 160+bhp after it been set up right.
