ok so im trying to decide on a colour for my car for when I get it sprayed after xmas, Does anybody know of websites etc that show small samples of colours available? Thanks
-
why are you gettin it sprayed its in too 2 gooda nick, looks nice as it is. what colour ya thinkin of. best thing just go to a shop that mixes paint they have big book s with every colour in the world thats what i did.
-
nah the left side wing has obv had a touch up job done and the lacquer has gone off, im thinking of either diff shade red, black or deep metallic blue
-
ah rite. go for the blue. i always wanted a mett blue golf. like R32 shade of blue. have you been quoted how much yet if you change the colour bet your lookin at over 2grand
-
it'll look coolie eiter way darl.. like i said, i'd go deep darkblue, black or another shade of red.. still not chosen one yet? pick from a hat, then lok at the shades available... do a vote?
-
unless you want to paint he engine bay i'd go for another red so it doesn't look odd when you pop the bonnet. either that or get the wing painted to match and sort out any little bad bits and put a few coloured laquer top coats on it to make it look really deep and a bit different. or add some red metalflake to make the thing glow!
-
how much do we think it'd cost just to sort out the crappy wing and then possibly add something over the top? does anybody know of any good bodyshops around cheshire or oxford area? thanks
-
cheshire or oxford, fair old gap there.
-
Have you seen that Dark Indian Red colour? Looks good on mk2's but yes go for the Blue
-
I live in Cheshire but visit Oxford on a weekly basis
-
ah right i see, what damage has been done to the wing
-
like i said someone has done a touch up and not done it well so the lacquear has peeled away on the left back side, not dents or anything just paintwise
-
ah right just be out major then if you change the colour they ll have to flat it and primer it anyways.
