My Missus is hopefully buying me a brand new set of G60 winter wheels for xmas. I was reading the Golf+ mag today and there was a guy in there who said he had probs with rusting and keeping them clean. Keeping them clean doesn't look too much of a chore, but does anybody have problems with winter wheels rusting? I need to know in case I have to change my xmas list!!!

i wouldn't worry, its only when they get knocked about eh get rusty. if that happens just get 'em powder coated. probbly cost you a tenner a wheel?

When you get them, get some clear spray on laquer and spray a load on before you put the tyres on. That should help.

Mine are starting to rust on the back already!!
Was thinking of spraying them black in middle and spraying rim and dish silver, was going to try and polish em but i figured because they are steel i would be doing it for weeks :undecided:
Can you spray wheels with standard 2pac paint with standard metal primer? or is it special chip proof paint?
