What was it Jeremy Clarkson said about those, something about being like a little excited puppy cocking it's hind leg.

there is a nice little hump bridge in my boyfriend's village, if you go 50/60mph over it (in a light car) you can usually get air born (all 4 wheels!!!), well in a my old nova anyway, the mk4 is a bloody heavy tank and it wont lift off at all  not even one wheel!!

I got airborn (very!!!!!!!) in my rover before i got my Golf, on the Portaferry road, only ppl from Belfast will know that . I was smiling until i got out and realised I had wrecked my downpipes when landing.......and my nice chrome tips where ground flat along with my rear towing eye, Doh!

I dunno how high i got, but high enough that the car bounced back into the air after landing!!!!

ah well, you live and learn,

Warren

I managed to get my Mk4 Polo airbourne on a road in between Ullswater and Ambleside in the lake district. A superb bit of road to drive in a nimble car.

Worst time i had getting airbourne was in Erith (manor rd if anyone knows it) basically its a big long road with loads of warehouses on it.

I was seeing a girl in the estate at the other end of the road so drove up and down it quite a bit late at night.  there was a lump in the road about halfway down which had real potential for a jump  i was gradually increasing the speed everytime i hit it getting up to about 50-55mph but it wasn't really getting up

One night in the pouring rain i was feeling particulary brave and hit the thing at about 70mph  went straight up in the air (must have been a good couple of feet) and whilst enjoying my flight a rather large lorry pulled out of one of the warehouses about 100m down, naturally i shat myself and hit the brakes as soon as i hit the ground, the wheels locked up but somehow i just managed to get out of its path when another lorry pulled out behind it and straight into my new path, things were getting hectic now, i'm less than 50m from 2 lorrys in the pouring rain and all 4 wheels are skidding and im still doing at least 40mph.  by some form of unbelievable luck i managed to squeeze the skidding car between the two lorrys and out of harms way.  i stopped the car immediatley and sat on the kerb in the rain for a good 15 mins before i could face getting back in the car.

i've not been so keen on jumping since!!!
