Title: MK7 Golf GTi - Turbo 'rattle'
Post by: KodapMK7 on 01 June 2026, 22:28
Hi guys,

Been trying to diagnose a rattle for a while now and every time i research it, it all comes back to being my 'actuator rod arm' and that is what's causing this noise I'm experiencing.

It's a rattly noise i hear at low revs, usually in 2nd and 3rd, once i get past a certain RPM it disappears. The apparent fix is a turbo wastegate clip, but then everywhere I look says this is only a fix for the MK6 and not the 7.

Can anyone else help me here, has anyone had this issue and resolved it in a MK7?

Thanks so much!

Not really help on the mk7 but had the above on my mk6 GTI and the clip cured it 100% is mk7 not the same?
