Title: GTD Caliper slider pins
Post by: Gstevens26 on 09 May 2026, 09:43
Im new to the forum and was hoping someone could help me.
I was changing the front discs and pads on my 2013 mk7 GTD yesterday and when reassembling I managed to snap the bolt that goes into the slider pins on the caliper. Stupid mistake, just over tightened.. Can anyone tell me where I can buy replacement pins and bolts without having to buy the whole caliper assembly. I have  had a Google but im struggling. Found some on autodoc but im not convinced they are right as the measurements dont add up to me.
I know they share components with other makes, audi and skoda/seat so perhaps thought i could try one of them brands hut hoping someone can give me a definitive answer or even some tips on getting out the bolts from the pins so I can just replace the bolts..
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Has it snapped off flush??

A decent place should be able to extract the remains or drill out completely, fairly straightforward for someone with access to a lathe.
