Title: Help removing airbag button
Post by: Rudedog on 05 May 2026, 21:51
I want to replace the trim piece on the left-hand end of the dash which has the airbag deactivation button in it.

Mine has a noticeable scratch down it and I've managed to find a brand new OE one for only a fiver.

Now I've scoured YT trying to find a 'how to' or someone who has done this but have drawn a blank - the only thing I've found is the VW manual procedure in the link below but this doesn't really help - I had a go but the button didn't want to move and I'm not going to force it - I can't workout which way the spring clips go.

Has anyone taken the button out from the trim who could share how it's done?
