Title: 8.5 front body parts
Post by: candywhite12 on 16 April 2026, 18:27
2 quick questions as i'm about to take the car to the bodyshop following minor accident.

1. illuminated logo is smashed - i take it to replace that it's one piece along with radiator grille and rest of illuminated parts?

2. front bumper will be replaced, also grille trim (the plastic part that houses the fog lights which by miracle are not damaged) is damaged.  Is that one piece or 2 separate ones?

thanks in advance

1. I'm fairly sure the illuminated front badge is its own individual part, separate from the rest of the grill. See here: https://shop.ahw-shop.de/original-vw-golf-8-5h-vw-emblem-r-black-edition-beleuchtet-vorn-kuehlergrill-logo-5h0941600aaso?c=9157

2. Yes all the unpainted black bits on the bumper are completely individual parts, so yes, you'll need the bumper shell (the painted part) plus whatever unpainted trim that is broken.

thanks man, makes sense.  I see you also got the Moonstone grey finish, makes for a lovely contrast to everything else on the car doesn't it...
