Title: Hello from the Lakes

Hello all.

Here’s hoping all is good.

I’m a bit of a fraud. I’m a keen lifelong motorcyclist (3 bikes) who has always seen cars as a dull necessity. I’ve bought a 2015 GTD and I actually love it. It’s in nice condition and I’m limiting my miles until the cambelt/water pump has been done. I would have done it myself but at 71 I’m getting a bit old to be lying on my drive for extended periods although I will give the car a full service.
It’s a real drivers car and I do enjoy driving.
The wheels need refurbishment although only one is bad. I’m thinking of getting them done in bronze. The car is a dark metallic grey.
I’m relocating to Lancashire soon (Heysham) and will be looking for a good VW Tech, detailer and wheel refurbisher.

I was going to remove my silica gel pack from the coolant reservoir today. I was too late. Here’s a quick photo of the car
