Title: Blind spot monitor Mk7.5 GTI

I am starting to have a look again at Mk7.5 Gti as my son fancies one. His current car has blind spot monitoring in the mirrors which I think is a great feature. Assume it’s not standard on the Gti but is it an option many cars would have? Is there a way to determine from pics of a car has it, for example does it work off extra sensors on the front and rear sides of the car,
