Im new to the forum but looking for some advice on replacing the infotainment head. I have a Mk 7 Gti peformance which is a Japanese import, the radio works but I can only get radio 2 :sad: Having looked into various sites that advertise conversion for around £250, I feel that I will still have possibly limited functionality.
So my prefeered route is to simply replace the head unit with an aftermarket one however I have a few questions that hopefully people with previous experience in dealing with imports might be able to answer.
1 Are the connections on the rear of the head unit the same as the Euro ones?
2 If not can I purchase a conversion set of leads/connectors?
3 Any recommendations for decent but low cost repalcement head units?
I would appreciate any advice on the above, and love the forum!
