Evening all.
I've got a couple of head scratchers with my new 8.5 that I thought someone here may have already encountered and solved.
Sat nav. I'd set a destination and all was going well until I adjusted the cabin temperature. I accidently touched the climate button bringing up the full screen menu. Made the adjustment then touched the red outlined square button to return to the map but, although the map came back just fine, the guidance was gone. A tad annoying whilst on a motorway... I'm not ruling out finger trouble but I don't think I switched it off accidentally.
Radio bother. When my OH connects her iphone by cable (for charging) the radio gets switched to her phone intermittently. We think it's when she's scrolling through instagram and a video starts playing, you don't get the video sound, just her BBC Sounds app which isn't on. We get an annoying screenshot of Nicky Campbell...

Voice control next time for the temperature!
Normally if I come out of the nav/map screen then I go top right to the tile icon, press the nav tile and it’s back.
Theres probably a cleverer way but that works for me.
As for the phone issue, I appreciate Nicky ain’t as pretty as he used to be.
Temporarily unpair the phone to stop it diverting away from the Archers (it’ll still charge) if you want to keep it on the radio station whilst doom scrolling on the phone. As soon as the phone has a bit of video on screen it’ll default to Android Auto or CarPlay audio if the phone is paired.
If a phone call comes in your wife can quickly reconnect the phone to the car to take the call.
Again, there’s probably a cleverer way but that works.
