hi guys first time poster so be gentle :grin:
I'm looking to change the steering wheel on my 2012 mk6 tdi 2.0 golf
I've found a wheel just after some help as to whether it will fit and how easy is it to do, as my car knowledge is practically 0
any help would be greatly appreciated i will post some pics up soon on my current wheel and what I'm looking to change to

Fairly easy to replace if you are changing the same type of wheel - with buttons on the wheel. Looks like you are and have cruise as well. You need to remove the airbag so disconnect battery first and leave for several minutes to ensure the bag has discharged. There are videos on the net to show how to remove the airbag clips on the back of the wheel. This is a bit fiddly and requires the wheel to be turned full lock each way to release each clip in turn and then pull the centre of the wheel out. Disconnect the airbag carefully and then remove the centre bolt and remove the wheel taking care not to disturb the spring underneath. Replace with the new wheel and reverse the above. The most important thing is to make sure the airbag is fully discharged as it contains an explosive charge.
