Title: Lost rear brake lights
Post by: JamesR27 on 13 August 2025, 09:53
On Monday I started up and when I touched the brake got a warning to check rear left brake light, so rang the garage and took it down. On my way I then lost the right brake light so checked the lights and indicators all working. The top light in the spoiler still works which is strange.

The garage had a look but said it was nothing simple and would need to book it in but said it could be 2 new lights.

Looking only a few people had a warning light but it disappeared after software update. My car says it’s up to date.

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar?

Check again after you've left it over night.

Mine complains about light faults occassionally only for it to sort its life out after a shutdown.

The car systems are still buggy as hell.

Thanks. It’s tucked away in the garage now so hopefully when I next start it, it will clear up or I will check for another update.

Sadly leaving it for a week keeping my fingers crossed did not do the trick. It did take an update also but no joy. Will have a better look tomorrow before it goes to the garage Friday.

Just to update everyone I had the car booked into the dealers on Friday and they replaced both rear lights and that’s fixed fixed the issue.
