Title: PCV valve Y pipe replacement

Hi All,
 would you please advise if it is difficult to replace the Y pipe. I have a VW Golf MK4 GTI,  1.8 T 2003.
  Just got a message form the mechanic that it needs doing. would there be any specialist equipment needed, or can that be done at home? Thank you
