Hello,
First time a member here albeit my 6th Golf - but my first GTI.
Picked it up on 9th June and absolutely loving it.
I’m recently retired and have lately had a string of nice comfortable estate cars but they’re in short supply nowadays and I’m and absolutely not having an SUV.
So the obvious replacement for a Volvo estate is a Golf GTI in Kings red metallic, Queenstown alloys and DCC because I need a tiny bit of comfort at my age.
Looking forward to getting to know the forum and its members, starting with searching how to turn off the fakery that is the Soundaktor…..
Cheers!

Welcome aboard BikeSausage
Dare I ask the inspiration for the username? 😁
It’s never too late to buy your first GTI (within reason!) and it’s great to hear you’re enjoying it.
Rather than a godawful SUV or MPV there’s always something like a T6 or Caddy (ones with back seats not full on vans) and the latter are quite well priced. Mind you a lot of the VW commercials are now rebadged Fords which might be a huge mistake for VW. The Caddy is based on the MQB platform these days I think.
Anyway, never mind all that, it’s great that you have a GTI, just one thing missing - a photo!

Thanks for the welcome! I’m not a great photographer of my cars but will take some when I’ve cleaned it. Having said that, I’m not a great cleaner of cars either! Twice a year, whether they need it or not!

Welcome to the forum @BikeSausage, and look forward to seeing pictures of your new car, once you’ve done your first of two cleans at some point in the next six months! A dirty car would give me sleepless nights!. At this time of year, all those baked-on dead bugs play havoc with my car OCD

@BikeSausage; car looks great . IMHO Kings Red looks at its best when clean and the sun is shining .

Oh yeah, I just need clean and sunlight to collide more frequently.
