Title: Old ex member
Post by: Burt on 10 April 2025, 16:15
Hello
I was a member back in the 90s when I owned a mk2. In my 60s now and badge carrying Volvo driver, I was clearing the garage out when I found a new set of genuine bbs ra centre caps, the nut covers and removal tool that I purchased from vw in the 90s. I also have a new mk1 gear gator and gti steering wheel in amazing condition.

Do these have any value these days ?

Sorry if post in wrong place

Welcome back Burt.
Burt is a very Volvo name.

I don’t think you’d be able to retire on the proceeds but those items would definitely have value as the cars get old and decent quality original parts become harder to get hold of.
EBay might be a good bet to find out the value of recently sold items and a post in the for sale section on here might yield a result. They’d be treasure to someone.
I still have a genuine VW DIN radio blank from back in the day when radios were optional extras!

Thank you,
I’ve looked at eBay and original bbs caps are advertised at £80-150😳 that can’t be right ?

Ps I’ve a T5 XC40 250ps if that helps redeem me in any way 🤣

Just tell me you don’t wear a tweed cap and we’ll call it quits 😁

I can well believe that those prices are quite realistic as they’re sought after and hard to obtain.
You could try putting them in the window of your antiques shop at £200?
