so.....four new tyres, balanced, running very good...still got some rattles on rough road surfaces! on a smooth road no problems, a bit shaky on speed bumps and uneven roads.....anybody with any suggestions please.

Whip them off and have a look if anything is loose behind, or if not confident to take the whole panel off just loosen the bottom lug on the door, take off the middle bolt t30 Torx and pull the bottom of the panel out a bit, I did this on a previous R and a small plastic rubber grommet fell out which was causing a noise lol

I’ve been getting a buzz type rattle from my passenger side front door area. Ive unclipped the guide end on the base of the front seat. It’s like some sort of stop when you move the seat back and forth and I also added some padded tape on the cover of the airbag switch which you see when you open the door on the side of the dash. So far that seems to have stopped it….fingers crossed!!

It would have been coming from that ‘airbag’ panel on the end of the dash, I’ve had the same noise on all my golf’s since my Mk6, all the way up to my current 8.5 .

the last couple of days, seems quieter as the weather is milder....newer golfs don't like the cold. but thanks for the info.
