Title: Gti DSG Jerking 1st/reverse gear
Post by: Mxllx86 on 22 January 2025, 23:47
Hi all hope your well,

I’ve got an issue with my GTI MK7 PP DSG.

My car jerks primarily when you start the car (not every time but 1/10 starts) it’s like the revs jump up and down to max 1.5k. This happens once only when the car starts (not allways but sometimes does it) . Does anyone know what this could be? The jerks only happen in first or reverse gear from a stop, it does it max 2/3 times then runs fine.

I’ve scanned my car using aggressive mode with ignition on + engine on, both times gave no errors at all

I can upload a video, just how do I do it?

Presuming 6 speed they have wet clutches that need fluid changing and new filter at every 40k miles to get rid of contaminants Hopefully a flush is all it needs as if anything more it could get expensive.  I also get the differential oil changed at the same time.

Thanks for the reply, I’m on 110k miles. The dsg has been serviced either 2 or 3 times not sure of top of my head. And the diff was serviced recently to alongside the dsg (less than 5k miles ago).

I was talking to someone else about this issue and they stated injectors, one other person who had a similar issue on their mk7 PP stated spark plugs or pcv - my spark plugs were done very recently to. Pcv hasn’t.

Any way in diagnosing the issue if it’s the dsg, clutch, mecatronics- , pcv, sparks, injectors.

Once again car pulls 0 faults on VCDS. The car also drives perfectly fine. Bit stuck
